About LED2WORK

Frequently asked questions about LED workplace lighting

Illuminance, color temperature and glare – the key answers from practice.

How much illuminance (lux) does a workstation need?

Per EN 12464-1, 500 lx applies to normal assembly, 750–1000 lx to fine assembly and inspection, and up to 1500 lx for very fine work. LED2WORK luminaires deliver these levels with low glare and high uniformity.

Which color temperature is ideal for workstations?

For concentrated, precise work, neutral-white light at 4000 K works best – activating, color-accurate and not too cold. Tunable-white versions switch steplessly between warm and daylight white.

What does low-glare light at the workstation mean?

Low-glare means low direct and reflected glare, rated via the UGR value. Micro-prismatic or opal covers diffuse the light evenly and prevent reflections on screens and shiny parts.
