About LED2WORK

Frequently asked questions about assembly-workstation lighting

Lux, glare control and color temperature – the key answers.

How much light does an assembly workstation need?

Per EN 12464-1: 500 lx for normal assembly, 750–1000 lx for fine assembly and inspection, up to 1500 lx for very fine work – low-glare and uniform.

How do I avoid shadows and glare?

With freely positionable flex-/articulating-arm luminaires and low-glare micro-prismatic/opal covers (low UGR). This prevents disturbing cast shadows on the part.

Which color temperature is ideal for assembly?

Neutral white (4000 K) with high color rendering (CRI > 80) – activating, color-accurate and comfortable for concentrated work across the shift.
